James Vontress Noe, Green Co., KY (1928-2012)

He was a resident of Louisville, KY at the time of his death. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Methodist faith. He was a man of remarkable industry. He served, worked and contributed all his life, retiring, finally, just a few months before his death. He was retired from the Army Corps of Engineers after 35 years of service and from Sears after retiring from a second career lasting 18 years, in August, 2011. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and will be accorded military honors at interment at Bethlehem Cemetery in his native Green Co., KY.

Mr. James Vontress Noe, 83, Louisville, KY, a native of Green County, KY, departed this life Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at his home in Louisville, Kentucky,

Services will be at 1pmCT, Saturday, January 28, 2012, at Bethlehem Cemetery, Greensburg, KY, by Rev. Jerry Noe with interment with military honors will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery, by Bethlehem Baptist Church, 526 Temperance Road, Greensburg, KY. Visitation were Friday, January 28, and after 7amCT, Saturday, January 28, 2012, at the Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, 209 W. Court Street, Greensburg, KY.



Pallbearers: Mark Hayes, Tyler Powell, Tommy Powell, Randy Noe, Freddie Gowen, and Dinkie Gowen.


James Vontress Noe, Green Co., KY (1928-2012)

Mr. James Vontress Noe was born Monday, February 13, 1928 in Green County, Kentucky. He was the son of the late James Arthur and Fannie Milby Noe. He departed this life Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at his home in Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky, having attained the age of 83 years, 11 months and 12 days.

Mr. Noe had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Methodist Faith. He was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean War. He retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers after 35 years. He retired from Sears August 2011 after 18 years.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife: Margie Marie Gowen Noe and two brothers: Thomas and Randall Noe

He is survived by the following:
  • One daughter: Shirley Noe, Louisville< KY

  • One sister: Lou Anna Allen both of Louisville, KY

  • Plus a host of other relatives and friends
