Dora K. Murray, age 94, of Burkesville, KY, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2012, at Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville, KY.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, January 28, 2012, at 1pmCT, at Ballou and Stotts Funeral Home, 304 North Main Street, Burkesville, KY, with Rev. James Starks officiating. Burial will be in the Burkesville Cemetery, North Main Street, Burkesville, KY. Visitation will be 4pmCT-9pmCT, Friday, January 27, 2012, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, in Burkesville.



Dora K. Murray, Cumberland Co., KY (1917-2012)

Dora K. Murray was born in Burkesville, Kentucky on Thursday, February 24, 1917. She was the daughter of the late Beulah Alexander Maupin and William M. Murray. She died Sunday, January 22, 2012, in Burkesville, Cumberland Co., KY at the age of 94 years, 10 months, and 26 days.

She was a member of Grundy Chapel CME Church and attended Burkesville Community Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her three brothers, Alexander Murray, Charles Maupin, and William Maupin; and two sisters, Gertrude Herd and Minnie Lou Wilburn.

Survivors include the following:
  • Three sisters: Dorothy Farris, Mae Walker, and Virginia Turner all of Burkesville, KY

  • and a host of other relatives and friends
