KSP Post 15 officers make arrest in domestic assault

LEBANON, KY - 32-year-old Shane R. Wright of Lebanon has been arrested and charged with Assault 1st following a domestic violence incident that occurred in the early AM hours today at his residence on Three Pines Road in Marion County. The victim, who is also the mother of Shane Wright, 47-year-old Susan Wright was assaulted and sustained a gunshot wound during the altercation. She fled to a neighbor's residence, called for assistance and was transported to Springview Hospital in Lebanon by Marion County EMS.

Kentucky State Police Post 15 units and the Kentucky State Police Special Response Team (SRT) responded to the scene where they were assisted by the Marion County Sheriff's Department. Shane Wright was arrested by members of the SRT without incident outside his residence at 7:29ET this morning. Susan Wright was treated for her injuries and admitted to Springview Hospital, Le Shane Wright was lodged in the Marion County Detention Center. The case remains under investigation and more charges are expected. KSP Detective Mike Dubree is investigating.
