Most area schools are closed for snow Most area schools, including the Adair County School District, are closed today. Larry Smith just called to enlighten us on the extent: Green County, Taylor County, Campbellsville Independent, Cumberland County, Metcalfe County, and Casey are closed because of the snow, and so is Russell, but over there, because of sagacious leadership, keen foresight and prognostication, Smith said. According the Smith, the leadership consulted an almanac, saw that January 13, 2012 would be a bad weather day, and wisely scheduled an In-Service training day for Friday the 13th, January, 2012.Larry Smith may be heard in the mornings on The WAVE, FM 92.7. A Larry Smith can also be heard in the afternoons on The Big Dawg, FM 99.9. It's conceivable that they are one and the same. - CM This story was posted on 2012-01-13 06:06:48
