Ed McFall, Russell County, KY (1916-2012)

He was the patriarch of a large, highly regarded Russell County, KY, family. He leaves 48 direct living descendants, with strong family ties in Russell, Wayne, Casey, Pulaski, and Monroe Counties of Kentucky. He was the father of Sharon Harris of Columbia, KY. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, a farmer and a member of the Mt. Hope Separate Baptist Church.

Ed McFall, 95, McKinney Lane, Jamestown, KY, died at 11:15amCT, Tuesday, January 10, 2012, at his home.

The funeral service will be at 11amCT, Friday, January 13, 2011, at Mt. Hope Separate Baptist Church with Bro. Randy Brown, Bro Danny Bailey, and Bro. Bobby Conner officiating. Visitation will be after 4pmCT, Thursday, January 12, 2012, at the H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N. Main Street, Jamestown, KY and from 8amCT until time for the service at the church. Burial will be in the Rexroat Cemetery.



Ed McFall, Russell County, KY (1916-2012)

Ed McFall was born April 8, 1916, in Monticello, Wayne County, KY. He was the son of the late Samuel Luther McFall and the late Lucy Neal McFall. He died Tuesday, January 10, 2012, in Jamestown, Russell County, KY, at the age of 95 years, 9 months, and 2 days.

He was a farmer and had served in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Blankenship McFall, Jamestown, KY, and the following:
  • Five sons: Richard (Vicky) McFall, Tompkinsville, KY; Ronnie (Kim) McFall, Steve (Teresa) McFall, and Randy (Tammy) McFall, all of of Jamestown, KY; and John (Melissa) McFall, Russell Springs, KY

  • Four daughters: Patricia (Harold) Coomer, Russell Springs, KY; Sue (Doyle) Popplewell, Jamestown, KY; Sharon (Wid) Harris, Columbia, KY; and Cara (Lee) Murphy, Liberty, KY

  • Twenty grandchildren

  • Nineteen great grandchildren
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Leonard, Willard and Wendell McFall and four sisters, Bessie Powell, Edith McWhorter, Vera Jorris, and Ada Aaron.

The H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N. Main Street, Jamestown, KY in charge of arrangements.
