Marie Greer Goodin, Adair Co., KY (1927-2012)

She was a member of a large, respected Northeast Adair County, KY family. She had worked at Union Underwear in Campbellsville, KY, and was a member of the New Hope Separate Baptist Church.

Marie Greer Goodin, age 84 years, of Wesley Goodin Road, Millerfield Community, Columbia, KY passed away Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 3:15pmCT, at her home after an illness.

Funeral services are Tuesday, January 9, 2012 at 1pmCT at New Hope Separate Baptist Church, 10706 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY, with Bro. David Coffey the officiating clergy. Interment will be in Chapel Cemetery at Knifley. Visitation after 4:30pmCT, Monday, January 9, 2012,and 6am-8:30amCT, Tuesday morning at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street Columbia, KY, and after 9amCT until time for the service, Tuesday, at the church.


Marie Greer Goodin, Adair Co., KY (1927-2012)

She was born July 25, 1927 in Marseilles, La Salle County, IL. She was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Maggie Elizabeth Osborne Greer. She died Saturday, January 7, 2012, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 84 years. and 13 days.

She was married to Robert A. Hendrickson, who preceded her in death, she later married Wesley Goodin who survives.

She is further survived by the following:
  • Step daughters: Janet Burton and husband David of Campbellsville, KY; Sharon Melton and husband Chuck of Campbellsville, KY; Vickie Milby and husband Gary of Campbellsville, KY; Beverly Powell and husband Dave of Columbia, KY, and Rebecca Wood and husband Guy of Campbellsville, KY

  • One sister: Bernice Schnoerr of Florida

  • Ten step grandchildren

  • Twenty step great grandchildren

  • Special nephew Nathan Giles

  • Special friend Elaine Bryant

  • Several nieces, nephews, a host of other relatives and friends
She was a member of New Hope Separate Baptist Church and had worked at Union Underwear in Campbellsville, KY.Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, in charge of funeral arrangements.
