Ronald Lee Roberts passed away Tuesday December 27, 2011 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danvillle, KY.

Funeral services will be at 10amET/9amCT, Saturday, December 31, 2011 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Jimmy Brown and Bro. Jim Lynn officiating. Burial in at Poplar Grove Cemetery.Visitation is Friday, 6pm-9pmET/5pm-8pmET at the funeral home.


Ronald Lee Roberts, Casey Co., KY (1952-2011)

Ronald Lee Roberts was Monday, born in Casey County on April 7, 1952. He was the son of the late Howard Newton and Vivian Cochran Roberts. He died Tuesday, December 27, 2011, in Danville, Boyle County, KY, at the age of 59 years, 8 months, and 20 days.

He was a former minister and member of the Poplar Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include the following:
  • A son: Joe (Tonya) Roberts of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two daughters: Rhonda (Matt) Cox of Louisville, KY; and Renee (Travis) Benningfield of Campbellsville, KY

  • Eight grandchildren

  • Three brothers: John Roberts of Mason, Ohio, William "Bill" Roberts of Liberty and Clifford Roberts of Indiana

  • Five sisters, Ruth Martin of Hustonville KY; Elma White of Louisville, KY; Phyllis Letner of Somerset, KY; Susan Lawhorn of Moreland, KY; and Carolyn Preston of Lexington.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a grandchild.
