Dr. William Lee "Boochie" Shuffett, 64, of Greensburg, KY, departed this life on Friday, December 23, 2011 at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY.

The funeral services for Dr. William Lee "Boochie" Shuffett will be conducted at 11amCT, Wednesday, December 28, 2011. at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Shuffett Family Cemetery. Bro. Ashley Shuffett Pinkie Davis, David Givens, Fran Stevens, and William Lee Shuffitt II, and will be officiating. Visitation is requested from 1pmCT until 9pmCT, Tuesday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT. Wednesday until time of the funeral service.



Pallbearers: Trent Keltner, Brent Keltner, Israel Slinker, David Smith, Todd Conley, Ken Phelps, Don Lester, Andrew Parson and J. R. Goff.

Honorary Pallbearers: Dr. Harry Huntsman and Jane Todd Crawford Medical Staff, Jane Todd Crawford Primary Care Office Staff, Henry Shuffett, Jim Schneider, KSP-SRT, Dejoni Conley, and Hillary Shuffett.

Dr. William Lee (Boochie) Shuffett (1947-2011)

Dr. William Lee "Boochie" Shuffett was the son of the late Avery Arnold Shuffett and Alice Cleo Kemp Shuffett. He was born on Saturday, May 17, 1947 in Lebanon, Marion County, KY, and departed this life on Friday, December 23, 2011 in Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY. He was 64 years, seven months and six days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg United Methodist Church. He was a Medical Doctor for several years and currently practiced medicine with Jane Todd Primary Care Center. He was a Kentucky Medical Association Chairperson, and on the Green County Ambulance Board.

He united in marriage to Kathy Evans on June 19, 1971 who survives.

Other survivors include the following:
  • A daughter: Michelle Shuffett of New York

  • A son and daughter-in-law: William Lee Shuffett II and Monica Shuffett of Greensburg, KY

  • A grandson: William Avery Shuffett of Greensburg, KY

  • A brother: James Avery Shuffett of Lexington, KY

  • And a host of other relatives and many friends
Memorials are suggested to the Kosair Children's Hospital, which can be made at the funeral home.

The Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 South Main Street, Greensburg, KY, in charge of arrangements.
