Mrs. Amelia Lornelle Glass Smith, age 60, of Burkesville, KY, passed away Friday December 9, 2011 in Bullitt County, KY.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday December 22, 2011 at 11amCT, in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY. Burial will follow in the Marrowbone Cemetery in Marrowbone, KY. The family will receive friends after 12pm noon CT, Wednesday December 21, 2011 until the funeral hour on Thursday.



Amelia Lornelle Glass Smith, 60, Burkesville, KY (1951-2011)

She was born in Barren County, Kentucky on Saturday March 10, 1951, the daughter of William "Bill" and Ruth Norris Glass. She died Friday, December 19, 2011, in Bullitt County, KY, at the age of 60 years, 9 months, and 9 days.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Christy Shannon Roth, and her husband, James Howard Smith.

She is survived by the following:
  • Her children: Richard A. Tipton, Jr., Charles M. Tipton, and John C. Roth all of Louisville, KY

  • Her sisters: Dianne Wise of Louisville, KY, and Angelia Glass (and Tony) Smith of Burkesville, KY, her grandchildren, Breanna Combest, Brooke Tipton, Charles "Bubby" Tipton, Jr., and Christopher "Richie" Tipton.
She was a self employed business woman and a member of Evangel World Prayer Center.
