Paul Patton will assume pastorate of Egypt Christian Church New minister will preach first sermon as pastor on January 1, 2012. Mr. Patton formerly held pastorates at Campbellsville Christian Church. The Casey County, KY, native is author of "A History of the Christian Churches in Adair County." Click on headline for full story, photo Special to ColumbiaMagazine.com The Egypt Christian Church announces the call of Paul W. Patton of Campbellsville to become their pastor. He will assume his duties as minister of the church on January 1, 2012. Mr. Patton retired from the Campbellsville Christian Church in 2001 after serving that congregation for over twenty years. Following this he served as Taylor County Judge Executive and also as the Director of Faith Based Initiatives for the State of Kentucky. During this time he continued preaching, serving as interim minister on a few occasions and served the Cane Valley Christian Church for two years. Most recently he has been serving the First Christian Church in Burkesville. He and his wife, Carol, make their home in Campbellsville. They are the parents of three children and the grandparents of three. A native of Casey County, he has maintained a close connection with church congregations throughout the South Central Kentucky area, having preached hundreds of revivals and served the area in various ways, including editing and publishing A History Of The Christian Churches In Adair County. The Egypt Christian Church extends an invitation to the public to meet with them on January 1, 2012 at 10:30amCT, to hear their new minister as he delivers his first sermon as pastor of their church.
