Prosecution has rested its case in Jeffrey McGaha Murder Trial

Larry Smith, WHVE 92.7FM the WAVE radio, called ColumbiaMagazine.com at 5:05pm to report that the prosecution has just rested its case in the murder trial of Jeffrey D. McGaha, now in progress at the Adair Judicial Center.

"The defense was set to begin presenting its side this evening, which means the trial could go to the jury as early as Thursday or Friday.

The trial is now in its third day. The jury was seated on Monday, December 5, 2011.

McGaha is charged with murder in the june 7, 2011 death of Michael Earl Cowan.
