Charles Grimsley: Courthouse Christmas booths going fast

Only nine of 16 spaces still available

In just the last two days, almost half of the vendor booths available in the historic Adair County Courthouse for its part in Christmas in Columbia have been rented.

On Friday morning, November 26, 2011, Charles Grimsley said that none of the booths had been taken, but early Saturday evening, November 27, 2011, he said that seven of the 16 available have been rented.

Charles Grimsley is taking orders for booths for 8am-3pmCT event at the Adair County Courthouse on December 3, 2011, continuing a tradition of Christmas in Columbia as a Downtown event. Nine of the sixteen booths open to vendors are still open. Call Charles Grimsley at 270-384-5658 to rent a space.

With only 9 left, he expects a space sell-out early in the week for the 8am-9amCT, Saturday, December 3, 2011, Old Fashioned Christmas/Ye Olde Fashioned Shoppe, holiday bazaar.

The centerpiece for the event will the Adair Heritage Association's re-opening of the Courthouse. Cleanup of the building is well underway. Utilities are back on. And, early this week, Ellen Zornes says, the "Hanging of the Green" will take place.
