With only 3,745 voters voting, normally heavily Republican Adair County went to the Republican standard bearer, Williams, by a scant 271 votes.

With all precincts reporting the vote countywide is as follows, with Statewide Winners in Bold with (*):

Election Nov. 8, 2011: A pause in vote tallying

Members of the Adair County Election Board were finishing the official vote count in the front of the Annex Basement Meeting Hall as Fiscal Court was convening in the back of the room, which caught Sheriff Harrison Moss' attention. Others, clockwise from the sheriff are Election Board Member Ben Loy (D), Adair County Deputy Court Clerk Libby Radford, Adair County Court Clerk Sheila Blair, and Election Board Member Billy Curry (R).
