LW Volleyball vs. Georgetown (KY) for MSC tourney championship - today!

The Blue Raiders, the top seed in the tournament, play Georgetown (KY) College at 2:30pmCT/3:30pmET at Frankfort Civic Center, 405 Mero Street, Frankfort, KY.

Lindsey Wilson won the third game of the Saturday night, November 5, 2011, match against Rio Grande (Ohio) University, 3-0, in the semifinals of the Mid-South Conference Tournament, played at the Frankfort Civic.

LWC has never won the MSC tournament, and Georgetown is making its 16th consecutive appearance in the MSC tournament title match. -DUANE BONIFER-DUANE BONIFER

LWC Volleyball advances to today's MSC title match

FRANKFORT, KY - Lindsey Wilson College's Angela Mlachnik of Muskego, Wis. (No. 6) celebrates in the third game of Saturday night's match against Rio Grande (Ohio) University in the semifinals of the Mid-South Conference Tournament, played at the Frankfort Civic Center. LWC won the game 25-20 to sweep the match 3-0 and advance into the program's second appearance in the MSC tournament title game.

Celebrating with Mlachnik are teammates Andrea Taylor of Louisville, Ky., and Audra McNabney of Murrietta, Calif. (No. 7).

Earlier in the night, LWC beat the University of Virginia's College at Wise 3-1 to advance to the semifinal match.

Lindsey Wilson College's Sarah Anderson of Carrollton, Texas, slips the ball over Georgetown (KY) College's Caraline Maher (No. 3) and Liz Goodin (No. 8) to tie the fourth game 2-2 of the Sunday, November 6, 2011, Mid-South Conference Tournament finals match at the Frankfort Civic Center. LWC won the game and the match, 3 games to 1. The Blue Raiders advance to the NAIA volleyball national tournament, which will be played November19 and November 29-December 3, 2011.
