Elk Horn, KY motorcyclist injured near Bradfordsville

Overcorrection a factor. Rider was not wearing a helmet. Rider treated and released at Springview Hospital, later lodged in Marion Co. Detention Center facing DUI charge.

MARION CO, KY - Trooper Morris Farris is investigating a one vehicle injury collision that occurred on Friday, November 4, 2011 at approximately 11:20pmET. Charles Tungate, age 39 of Elk Horn, KY, was traveling South on KY 49 two miles North of Bradfordsville operating a 1997 Honda motorcycle.



Tungate crossed the centerline, overcorrected and lost control of the motorcycle, before leaving the roadway. Tungate, who was not wearing a helmet, was transported to Springview Hospital where he was treated and released. Tungate then was lodged in Marion County Detention Center, charged with driving under the influence. The investigation is ongoing by Trooper Farris.
