Heroes are back: The history making ADAIR Band is safely home Director Tom Case and his State History Making ADAIR band rolled into Columbia, ADAIR County, KY, at approximately 12:40pmCT, Sun. Oct. 30, 2011, met by a a welcome worthy of their historic achievement. The ADAIR band, is the ONLY band to win 20 KMEA State Championships, returns to Columbia, entering via the Louie B. Nunn/Jamestown Street Interchange No. 49 where it will be met by a a police escort led by units of the Kentucky State Police, Columbia Police Department, the Adair County Sheriff[s Department to be escorted north on Jamestown Street, through the Public Square, out Greensburg Street to homebase at the Band Room in the Raymond Lacey Music Building, 230 General John Adair Drive, Columbia, KY. -SHAMARIE CLAIBORNE This story was posted on 2011-10-30 13:28:59
