The Bryants urge support of Ronald McDonald House Wish List Drop Off is TODAY, October 20, 2011 The Ronald McDonald House in Cleveland was there for the Bryant family: 'We are in such great appreciation for the help provided by the RMH. In a time of turmoil and exhaustion they provided for all of our needs for an incredibly inexpensive price. When your mind is totally focused on the needs of your child they provide for the needs of the family.' -JAMES and MARIA BRYANT Printable 2011 Wish List for Ronald McDonald House. ColumbiaMagazine.com supports The Crusade for Children, Kosair Charities, and the Ronald McDonald House support drives By James and Maria Bryant I am submitting this article in support and appreciation for the works of the Ronald McDonald House. When our daughter Shelby was born in April of 2002 she was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect. She was sent to UK children's hospital in Lexington. We were told she had a very rare combination of defects. She was born with 2 ventricular septum defects, a coarctation, and double outlet left ventricle. Surgery was our only option. We were referred by the cardiologist to the Cleveland clinic and Dr. Roger Mee. Shelby was flown out by the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and we had to drive to Cleveland as we were. We arrived in Cleveland in T-shirts, as we were as we hadn't been home since Shelby was born and left immediately for Cleveland. While there we stayed at the RMH on the Clinic campus. It was snowing in Cleveland yet the RMH helped us find long sleeve shirts, provided us with meals, as well as accomodations for sleeping and bathing. We are in such great appreciation for the help provided by the RMH. In a time of turmoil and exhaustion they provided for all of our needs for an incredibly inexpensive price. When your mind is totally focused on the needs of your child they provide for the needs of the family. I highly encourage people to support the RMH they are a blessing to many families who are going through the toughest times of their life. During Shelby's first week of life we spent at the RMH. Thanks to the grace of God, the skill of an amazing surgeon and staff, and the caring staff of the Cleveland Ronald McDonald House we have our beautiful daughter with us today. Sincerely, - JAMES and MARIA BRYANT 4th annual Columbia/Adair County Ronald McDonald House Charities Donation/Drop-Off is 3pm-6pmCT, Thursday, October 20, 2011, behind the Chamber Building, 201 Burkesville Street, Columbia, KY.
