He was a native of Lincoln, IL, owner of Brown Brothers Heating & Plumbing Inc., member of NHRA, Vice President of Bethel Branch Homeowners Association, and an avid drag racing fan. Interment will be at Tabernacle Cemetery, Adair County, KY.

Michael Kent Brown, 56, of Mt. Washington Ky., passed away Friday, October 14, 2011.

Funeral services will be 10amET/9amCT, Tuesday, October 18, 2011,at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home, 111 North Bardstown Road, Mt. Washington, KY with visitation 4pm-8pmET/3pm/7pmCT, Monday and after 9amET/8amCT, Tuesday. Graveside service at 12pm noon CT Tuesday at Tabernacle Cemetery, 91 Tabernacle Cemetery Road, Adair County, KY. Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral home in charge of local, Adair County, funeral arrangements.

He was a native of Lincoln, IL, owner of Brown Brothers Heating & Plumbing Inc., member of NHRA, Vice President of Bethel Branch Homeowners Association, and an avid drag racing fan.

He is survived by his wife, Debra Sanders Brown, and the following:
  • Three daughters: Shanna Larson, Sara Beran and Melissa Brown

  • Three sons: Jonathan, Christopher and Matthew Scamahorne

  • Two brothers: Marshall and Milford Brown

  • Grandchildren: Cody Beran, Cassidy and J. D. Larson, Jaden, Kaleb, Jaxon, and Jordyn Scamahorne.
