Ashley Smith receives White Coat at McWhorter School of Pharmacy Ceremony is rite of passage for pharmacy students Click on headline for article plus photo(s) By Elaine Sinclair Ashley Smith, formerly of Columbia. Ky received her white coat today from Samford University's. McWhorter School Of Pharmacy, Birmingham, Alabama in a ceremony held on Friday, October 7, 2011, at Shades Mountain Baptist Church, Vestavia Hills, Alabama. The white coat ceremony marks a rite of passage for pharmacy students at the school. During the ceremony, they recite the American Pharmacists Association Pledge of Professionalism. Dr. Todd Edgar was the keynote speaker at the event. McWhorter, in part because of its strength in readying pharmacists for careers in face to face work in a retail setting, has been favored by a large number of Adair County pharmacists currently practicing in the South Central Kentucky area.Ashley is the daughter of Dwayne and Pam Smith and the niece of Elaine Sinclair, all of Columbia, KY. -Elaine Sinclair This story was posted on 2011-10-08 03:07:09
