Clara Burress Pickett, 91,of Georgetown, KY formerly of Campbellsville, died at 3:30amCT, Wednesday, September 28, 2011 in Greensburg, KY.

Graveside services will be at 3pmET/2pmCT, Friday, September 30, 2011, at the Bethel Cemetery in Campbellsville, KY, by Rev. Charlie Taylor.

Clara Burress Pickett, of Georgetown, KY, was the daughter of the late Fred Burdick and Clara Smith Burdick. She was born in Mingo County, West Virginia, Wednesday, July 12, 1920. She died Wednesday, September 28, 2011 in Greensburg, Green County, KY, at the age of 91 years, 2 months, and 16 days.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Woodlawn Christian Church.

She was a retired secretary from Burkholder Insurance Company.

She united in marriage to William S. "Bill" Pickett August 19, 1959. He preceded her in death June 19, 2009.

She is survived by the following:
  • Three nieces, Dr. Susan M. Burress and Wanda Lucas of Campbellsville, KY; and Marlene Blair of Paris, Kentucky

  • And several other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister: Ralph D. Burress, James Burress and Floy Burkholder.

The Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, in charge of arrangements.
