Harry Skaggs, 75, of Campbellsville, KY, died at 8:55pmET, Monday, September 26, 2011 in Campbellsville, KY.

Funeral services will be at 11amET/10amCT, Friday, September 30, 2011, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY by Rev. Wallace Votow. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, West Main Street, Campbellsville, KY.



Pallbearers: Harold Atwell, Joey Baker, Darrell Skaggs, Larry Skaggs, Paul Sprowles, Doug Underwood and Doug Williams.

Harry Skaggs, Taylor Co., KY (1935-2011)

Harry Skaggs of Campbellsville, son of the late Lonnie Branston Skaggs and Hallie Beatrice Skaggs, was born in Larue County, Kentucky, Wednesday, October 16, 1935. He died Monday, September 26, 2011 in Campbellsville, Taylor Co., KY, at the age of 75 years, 11 months, and 25 days.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Levelwoods United Methodist Church.

He was the owner and operator of Sandy Y Service for twenty-five years and a farmer.

He united in marriage to Linda Thompson December 21, 1957.

Besides his wife, Linda Skaggs, he is survived by the following:
  • One daughter and son-in-law: Rayona and Bill Baker of Elizabethtown, KY

  • One grandson: Marshall Baker of Elizabethtown, KY

  • Two brothers and two sisters: Randall Skaggs and special friend, Wanda Underwood of Campbellsville, KY; Verner Skaggs and wife, Lillie of Shepherdsville, KY; Jean Nelson of Buffalo, KY; and Lorene "Reenie" Davidson and husband, Darrell of Plano, Texas

  • And many nieces and nephews and several other relatives and friends
He was preceded in death by one brother, Herbert Skaggs.The family requests expressions of sympathy be donations to Hospice of Central Kentucky and may be made at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.The Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, in charge of arrangements.
