A remarkable woman: Michele Hale continues recovery 'Thanks to all our friends who have called and sent cards and prayed for Michele. Keep the prayers going as she continues her fight. Most of all we thank the God of Heaven for answering prayers and giving Michele the strength to press on and overcome this terrible disease. -MARK HALE Click on headline for complete story with photo(s) By Mark Hale We are so thankful to let all our friends know that Michele has reached a milestone in her fight against cancer. On Wednesday the 21st of September she received her final chemotherapy treatment. She is a remarkable woman and has tolerated the treatment with a fierce determination to keep on going. She went back to work as soon as the surgeons released her and has kept up a high percentage in the Amazon.com environment. During the hottest days of summer she pressed on, working in the heat that many people from this area have experienced at Amazon. She credits her success in her cancer fight to the sweat and grind environment she works in and a good attitude about being determined to overcome the adversity she's had given her. Next phase is a regimen of at least 28 radiation treatments that will be done every Monday thru Friday until complete. The exact number of treatments is not known at this time. She is looking forward to getting started on those as soon as possible and getting them behind her as well. I want to say a big thank you to my sister Jennifer who accompanied Michele on several of her treatments, as well as my Dad, Nathan, who by the way is working on his 3rd round of chemotherapy treatments himself. Also Michele's Mother, Alice. I was always on the road working on the days Michele had her treatments and was unable to go. This week my work allowed me to be off for her final treatment. They have really been good to me as I try to help Michele and give her support in her fight. Thanks to all our friends who have called and sent cards and prayed for Michele. Keep the prayers going as she continues her fight. Most of all we thank the God of Heaven for answering prayers and giving Michele the strength to press on and overcome this terrible disease. -MARK HALE. This story was posted on 2011-09-22 03:25:31
