Robert Watson, Liberty, KY, Adair Co. native, (1918-2011)

He was a native of Adair Co., KY, and was the patriarch of a large, highly regarded Casey County family. He was a retired salesman for Moorman's Feed, a member and elder at Westside Christian Church, and a former member of the Masonic Lodge. He was a a WWII United States Army Air Force veteran.

Robert "Bob" Watson, 93, passed away Friday September 16, 2011 at the Casey County Hospital, Liberty, KY.

Funeral services are 3pmET/2pmCT, Monday, September 19, 2011 at Westside Christian Church, 966 Campbellsville ST, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Martin Shackelford officiating. Burial is at Casey County Memorial Gardens (MAP), on Memory DR, Liberty, KY with military honors by the Casey County Funeral Squad. Visitation is 4pm-8pmET/3pm-7pmCT, Sunday September 18, 2011, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville ST, Liberty, KY and Monday at the church from 1pmET/12 noon CT, until funeral service.



Pallbearers are John Price, Jason Price, Marshall Forbes, Dr. John R. Price, Doug Johnson and John Johnson.

Honorary pallbearers are Hogan and Jax Price, David, Roger, and Jerry Watson, Travis Giles and the elders and deacons at Westside Christian Church.

He was born in Adair County, KY on Monday, April 15, 1918. He was the son of the late George "Buddy" and Matt Russell Watson. He died Friday, September 16, 2011 in Liberty, Casey Co., KY at the age of 93 years, 5 months.

He was a retired salesman for Moormans Feed and a member and an elder at Westside Christian Church. He was a WWII Air Force Veteran and former member of the Masonic Lodge.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Beulah Elizabeth Hardin Watson and five brothers.

Survivors include the following:
  • A daughter, Terry (Dr. John R.) Price of Liberty, KY

  • Three grandchildren: John Price, Jason (Charity) Price and Kelly (Marshall) Forbes

  • And five grandchildren, Hogan , Talley, Jax, Mia and Elizabeth.
Memorial contributions suggested to Westside Christian Church c/o Patsy Johnson.
