Gerhard and Katherine Lepiarczyk celebrate 56th anniversary Anniversary celebration in Nashville, TN By E. H. Lepiarczyk Gerhard and Katherine Lepiarczyk celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary recently. Their son, Erwin Lepiarczyk, planned a nice celebration for his father and mother in Nashville, Tennessee. The Lepiarczyks stayed in the renowned Gaylord Opryland Hotel during the anniversary week. On September 3, the anniversary date, members of the Lepiarczyk family drove to Nashville from Churchill Place. On September 4, 2011, the anniversary couple and Erwin voyaged on the General Jackson Steamboat and enjoyed a wonderful country music presentation on board in the Victorian Theatre. Then on September 6, the Lepiarczyks went to the Grand Ole Opry where their anniversary announcement was broadcast internationally. Katherine delighted especially with the performance of 90 years young Little Jimmy Dickens. Gerhard's favorite performer that evening was Whispering Bill Anderson And of course, Sir Erwin managed to be photographed with an iconic legendary Minnie Pearl character before the Opry show began. Later that evening, Gerhard and Katherine spent the night in the home of their son, Erwin, upon their return from Nashville. September 7, Gerhard and Katherine traveled to their home in Louisville. The 56th wedding anniversary of Gerhard and Katherine will long be remembered as one of their favorite celebrations of anniversaries. May God bless Gerhard and Katherine with many more wedding anniversaries. Gerhard and Katherine have many relatives and friends in the proximity of Adair County. Katherine is a native of Adair County; the daughter of the late Daniel and Effie Grider. Gerhard and Katherine met in Louisville and have made Jefferson County their home throughout their married years. The anniversary celebrants are blessed with two sons, one daughter, and two granddaughters. Katherine's sister, Stella Cross, who was matron of honor in Gerhard and Katherine's 1955 wedding, lives in Louisville. -E.H. Lepiarczyk This story was posted on 2011-09-09 06:08:22
