Two Blue Raider Volleyball Players receive MSC honors Andrea Taylor, Louisville, KY, and Rachael Anderson, Lexington, KY, named Mid-South Conference Players of the Week September 5, 2011. Unbeaten 7-0 Raiders play Campbellsville at Powell Athletic Center, 203 Tiger Way, Campbellsville, KY, at 6pmCT/7pmET, Tuesday, September 6, 2011. By Chris Wells, LWC Sports Information Director COLUMBIA, KY - Lindsey Wilson College junior Andrea Taylor and senior Rachael Anderson earned Mid-South Conference Volleyball Player of the Week honors, conference officials announced on Monday. Taylor earned MSC Volleyball Player of the Week and Setter of the Week while Anderson earned MSC Libero of the Week. The conference honors are the first of the season for the pair. For Anderson, the honor is the fifth time she has earned conference libero of the week. Taylor and Anderson were keys in the Blue Raiders' six wins last week. Taylor averaged 10.6 assists per game while leading the Blue Raiders to a perfect 6-0 week, including four three-game sweeps at the Trevecca Nazarene University Invitational. The Louisville, KY, native recorded 41 assists to open the week in a 3-1 win over Bethel (TN) University in Columbia. She added 37 and 32 assists in sweeps of Kentucky Christian University and Trevecca Nazarene. Taylor also amassed 36 digs, six kills and three service aces during the week. Anderson collected 69 digs in her six matches for a 3.8 digs per game average. The Lexington, KY, native recorded a week-high 23 digs in the win over Bethel. Anderson also recorded a .976 reception percentage and finished the week with five service aces. With its six wins last week, Lindsey Wilson improves to 7-0 on the season.
