Russell Countian injured in single vehicle crash E of Campbellsville, KY

Thomas Velli, 18, Russell Springs, KY, operating vehicle which left roadway, struck a fence and came to a rest. He was not belted. Treated and released at Taylor Co. Hospital. Arrested on DUI charge, lodged in the Taylor Co. Detention Center

CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY - Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Officer Jason Morris is investigating a single vehicle collision which occurred at 7:20pmET, Saturday, August 27, 2011, on US 68, 1 mile East of Campbellsville, KY.



A 1995 Honda operated by Tomas Velli, age 18, of Russell Springs, not belted was traveling West on US 68 when the vehicle left the roadway on the Eastbound side, striking a fence and coming to final rest. Mr. Velli was transported to Taylor Regional Hospital where he was treated and released.

Mr Velli was later charged with Driving Under The Influence of Alcohol/Drugs, No Insurance and No Operators License. He was lodged in Taylor County Detention Center.

Officer Morris was assisted at the scene by Kentucky State Police and Taylor County Sheriffs Office.
