It's Today! Columbia/Adair Co. welcomes bands to Mark Twain! FIVE TO SIX THOUSAND ADDITIONAL PEOPLE EXPECTED IN COLUMBIA TODAY! Please greet the THOUSANDS of MARK TWAIN MARCHING BAND EXHIBITION vistors with Columbia's hometown spirit! We want all Adair Countians to be One Person Chambers of Commerce, and offer friendly help to our honored guests! By Shamarie Claiborne News from Adair County Band It's Today! The annual Mark Twain Pre-Season Marching Band Exhibition is hosted by the Adair County High School Marching Band. We total of 14 visiting bands performing. Busses will be rolling in to Columbia and the stands filling up Saturday afternoon. So, while traveling watch out for our visitors and please greet them with Columbia's best hospitality. Show these visitors how much we appreciate their hometowns when we visit them. If every band brings the crowds Adair County usually travels with, the total number of band visitors in Columbia could be over 6,000, and we actually expect at least 6,000 in the community on Saturday.There will be 15 bands performing, in all, starting at 4:15pmCT Class A: Metcalfe Co., Cumberland Co., and CampbellsvilleAnd the Adair County Marching Band and Lindsey Wilson College Marching Band will perform.For times for each band's performance, click to Adair County Band. The Lindsey Wilson College Marching Band will be performing in exhibition at 7:45 pm while the 2 time National and 19 time State Champion Adair County High School Marching Band will be performing at 8 pm.So, the Adair County Band Boosters would like to invite the community to come out and enjoy a day full of music at Booster Field, 224 Gen. John Adair DR, Columbia, KY, Saturday August 27, 2011! It will be a perfect chance to buy a last minute ticket on the wonderful Frigidaire Washer and Dryer the Boosters are giving away at the end of the evening.
