She was a member of a large, respected Northeast Adair Co., KY family

Lizzie Burton, 89, of Columbia, KY, died early Thursday, August 18, 2011, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Ky.

A private graveside service was held Friday, August 19, 2011 at the Bearwallow Cemetery, 6080 Liberty RD, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Gilbert Harmon officiating.



Lizzie Burton, Adair Co., KY, (1922-2011)

She was born Saturday July 29, 1922 in Adair County, to the late Wilce and Mary Jane Bryant Harmon. She died Thursday, August 18, 2011, in Bowling Green, Warren Co., KY at the age of 89 years, 20 days.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Burton in 1992; three brothers, John, Si and Willie Harmon; and four sisters, Carrie Burton, Lou Ann Logston, Ida Corbin and Maudie Duggin.

Survivors include the following::
  • One son: Billy Harmon of Glens Fork, KY

  • One sister: Lena Dial of Greensburg, KY

  • One grandchild
