Dale Curry writes:
Had not thought about the totem pole for years, but surely wish I had a picture. Hope someone finds it! - Dale Curry
Thanks, Rev. Curry. There has finally been a huge breakthrough in this heart wrenching case, since our huge investigative staff got on the case way back in the early a.m.

We're working our prizewinning story now. Those who respect history, who care about great art, who honor traditions, who have a sincere and abiding love of our community, and those who believe that sacred treasures ought to be given a place of honor where it will be cherished, and heavily guarded to be happy when we post the story and the pictures - which we'll do just as soon as we can see through our eyes made misty with tears of joy.

Through the endeavorance of one foresighted individual, the totem pole has perservered. It has endured It lives on and may it it ever escape the clutches of the Guggenheim, the Speed, the Joe Moore, or the Smithsonian. Thank you, for caring.

I know how relieved you must be that nothing so mehainious as getting et in a Dragon's den befell this precious icon. But in the words America so hates to hear, "Stay tuned. More in a moment after we get back from this commercial break."

All this being said, you may still be in for a disappointment: Truthfully, we don't have any historic photos of the totem pole yet, and not much hope of getting one. "Jim," who can usually be counted on any answer, is from another, age, more remote in history even than this tale from antiquity. The man would have to transcend four score and ten years, and that's not likely. -Ed
