Mrs. Thelma E. Bernard Price, age 80, of Russell Springs, KY, formerly of Burkesville, KY, passed on Friday August 5, 2011 at the Fair Oaks Health System in Jamestown, KY.

Funeral services will be held on Monday August 8, 2011 at 2pmCT, at the Russell Springs United Methodist Church, 206 Jamestown ST, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Dennis Price, Bro. Mark Price, and Rev. Jim Kingry officiating. Burial will be in the Lucinda Bernard Cemetery, Bernard RIdge RD, Russell Springs, KY, in Russell Co, KY Visitation will be after 10amCT. on Monday, August 8, 2011, at the Church.

She was born in Russell Springs, Russell Co., KY on Saturday, September 27, 1930. She was the daughter of Ores E. and Julia R. (Bernard) Bernard. She died Friday, August 5, 2011, in Jamestown, Russell Co., KY, at the age of 80 years, 10 months, and 9 days.

She was a homemaker, a former employee of Cumberland Valley Manor, and a charter member of Living Word Assembly of God.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her siblings, Paul Bernard, Parthenia Brown, Haskel Bernard, Doris Harling, Norma Burris, Edward Bernard, and Nelson Bernard.

She is survived by the following:
  • Her children: Deborah (and Bill) Diffenwierth of Louisville, KY, Tim (and Becky) Price of Glasgow, KY, Bro. Dennis (and Lynette) Price of Russell Springs, KY, Jill Groce of Louisville, KY, Bro. Mark (and Rebecca) Price of Campbellsville, KY; Karen (and Mike) Schur of Louisville, KY

  • Her grandchildren: Mandy, Lori, Marisa, Joshua, Allen, Wil, Micah, Jessie, and Carrie

  • Her great-grandchildren: Terrence, Hannah, Avery, Cade, Jackson, Abby, Aidan, Dawson, Jarred, Alivia, and Valarie

  • And several nieces and nephews
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions to the Russell Springs United Methodist Church or Samaritan's Purse in her memory.
