Girls golf team struggles in Taylor Co. Invitational. Ashley Goodin leads ACHS with 87. Ellen Kehoe of Taylor Co. is medalist with 4 under par 68 Click on headline for story with photo(s) By Kim Goodin News from Adair County High School Girls Golf The girls suffered through wet playing conditions and then steamy heat to shoot a 431 which landed them with a ninth place finish. Plagued by lots of penalty strokes and errant shots they just struggled to get anything going. "We had 48 extra strokes over par on two holes for each girl that just destroyed our scores." Green Co. won the event shooting a 338 and Taylor Co. finished second with a 351. Ellen Kehoe of Taylor Co. won medalist honors with a 4 under par 68. Lydia Gumm of North Hardin shot an even par round of 72.Ashley Goodin finished tied for 13th place with an 87. Emilee Royse finished with a 108. Abby Royse shot a 117 and Rachel Phipps 119. "I realize this was one of our worst performances but I am so proud of our composure, We carded some high numbers on a few holes but they didn't quit."
