All ATV riders are not the same. Most respect other's property

Comments re article 45988. Stolen Horse Trough located but owner dismayed by attitudes of some toward loss

By Mike Bennett

Glad to hear of finding the horse trough.

I have horses also and like any animal in this kind of weather they need access to water at all times.

I am also troubled to hear that it was irresponsible ATV riders that did this.

I am also an ATV rider and ride by this farm on occasion while admiring the horses.

Please be assured that all ATV riders are not the same. Most of us respect other people's property.

We make sure not to damage anything and most of us leave trails cleaner than they were before we came through.

I know in some parts of the county, there have been problems with property owners and ATV riders.

These episodes ruin things for those of us who just want to ride for pleasure. ATV riding is relaxing and just plain fun for those of us who take other people's property seriously.

So I challenge you, if you ride, please respect every trail, road, or field you cross.

Thanks Ed for letting me state my opinion,

-Mike Bennett
