She was a member of a respected Russell Co., KY family, a waitress, and a member of Royville Friendship Church

Betty Jane Foley, 76, Fortenberry RD, Russell Springs, KY, died Thursday, July 28, 2011, at her home.

The funeral service will be Sunday, July 31, 2011, at 2pmCT, at Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 Main ST, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Charles Edwards the officiating clergy. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery. The funeral service will be Sunday, July 31, 2011, at 2pmCT. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, Saturday, July 30, 2011.


Pallbearers: Mark Wright, Brian Tarter, Jonathan Brinson, Eric Barkalow, and Jerry Holt.

Betty Jane Foley, Russell Springs, KY (1935-2011)

Betty Jane Foley was the daughter of the late Edith Jewell Anderson Bottom and the late Homer McKinzie Bottom. She was born Wednesday, February 13, 1935, in Russell Co., KY. She died Thursday, July 28, 2011, in Russell Springs, Russell Co., KY, at the age of 75 years, 5 months, and 15 days.

She was a waitress and a member of Royville Friendship Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Joseph "Bud" Foley.

She is survived by the following:
  • Five children: Leon "Kenny" (Deborah) Foley, Columbia, KY; Debra (Jeff) Foley Wilkinson, Lexington, KY; Rebecca Foley-Kearney (Scott), Florida; and Danny D. Foley and Michael Shawn Foley, Russell Springs, KY.

  • Eleven grandchildren

  • Eleven great grandchildren

  • One brother: H.M. Bottom, Russell Springs, KY

  • Five sisters: Olena Akers, Russell Springs, KY; Maxine Clayton, Louisville, KY; Carolyn Bottom, Russell Russell Springs, KY; Mary Ann (Jimmy) Rubarts, Louisville, KY; and Brenda (Jerry) Holt, Russell Springs, KY.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Lyman Bottom (2005)Bernard Funeral Home, 367 Main ST, Russell Springs, KY, in charge of arrangements.
