Golf: Riley Grant, Alex Durham each finish second in Lexington

Alex Durham qualifies for state championship of Pepsi Tour

By Hunter Durham

Riley Grant and Alex Durham finished second in their age brackets in the University of Kentucky course in Lexington, KY.

This is the last tournament qualifying for the state championship of the Pepsi Tour events which will be held in Louisville, KY, at the Oxmoor golf course.

To receive an invite to the tournament this year, a player must win at least one tournament.

Alex Durham qualified to play. Riley would have been in the tournament except for rule changes this year, although he was really close and some of the golfers in his age group scored lower than all others in the tournament. Though he did not qualify this year, we are sure he will next year as he continuously improves his game.

The Adair County High School Golf Team is getting ready for their season and it appears that they will be a great team. I would encourage everyone to watch for their schedule and support these your men. -Hunter Durham
