Stock barn at Homeplace is getting new roof Klingberg Construction of Adair County is contractor Click on headline for introduction with photo(s) By George Kolbenschlag The stock barn at Homeplace on Green River is getting a new roof this week as the first step in the building's restoration. Homeplace contracted with Adair County's Klingberg Construction for the job. Erik and Kurt Klingberg, Steven Curry and Connor Solum removed the old roof cover Monday, June 27, 2011, and will replace it later this week. The restoration of Homeplace is aimed at protecting and promoting the area's agricultural heritage utilizing education, conservation and sustainable agriculture. It is a joint effort of Adair, Green and Taylor counties and depends on volunteer workers, community financial support, and foundation and business grants.
