Kathleen Margaret Friedewold, 61, of Columbia, KY, died Friday, June 24, 2011, at her residence after an illness.

Visitation will be 12pm noon-8pmCT, Tuesday, June 28, 2011, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY, with entombment on Wednesday, June 28, 2011, in Resthaven Cemetery Mausoleum in Louisville, KY.

She was born September 27, 1949 in Albert Lea, Freeborn Co., Minnesota. She was the daughter of the late Donald and Alsada K. Fogerty Smith. She died Friday, June 24, 2011, in Columbia, Adair Co., KY, at the age of 61 years, 8 months, and 28 days.

She was a Registered Nurse at Taylor Regional and Westlake Regional Hospitals.Survivors include the following:
  • Her husband: Kurt Friedewold of Columbia, KY

  • One son: James Young of Quincy, Michigan

  • Two daughters: Elizabeth Galloway and Shaila Dodd both of Arkansas

  • Two brothers and one sister: Gerry Smith of Rockford, IL; Mark Smith of Tempe, AZ; and Christie Cook of Hillsdale, MI

  • Seven grandchildren: Matthew Carey, Evan Young, Kaitlyn Young, Triston Young, Alyssa Galloway, Dylan Young, Dreaven Dodd
