Does not comment on what The Californian has steered up A voice from the northern wilderness writes: As much as I might agree in principle with The Californian, public beheadings should be reserved for those in the newspaper business who are oblivious to the term "homophone." If I read one more time of a car wreck caused by break failure; of someone carrying a pale of water; of bells peeling (which always brings forth images best left unmentioned in a family-oriented magazine such as CM); or of someone having a six-ton wench for sale (see previous parenthetical), I don't know, as Miss Jane Sullivan was wont to say, just prejactly what I'll do, but it just might draw a bigger crowd than the J.O.
