John Robert Sobi, 76, Old Sano RD, Russell Springs, KY, died Friday, June 10, 2011, at the Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY.The funeral service will be Tuesday, June 14 2001, at 1pmCT, at Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 Main ST, Russell Springs, with Rev. Kevin Bryant the officiating clergy. Burial will be in the Russell Springs City Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be after 11amCT, Tuesday, June 14, 2011, at the Funeral Home.

He was born October 21, 1934, in Johnson City, Johnson Co., IL. He was the son of the late Catherine Tresp Sobi and the late John Sobi. He died Friday, June 10, 2011, in Russell Springs, Russell Co., KY, at the age of 76 years, 7 months, and 17 days.

He was a mail carrier, a U.S. Army veteran, and a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife Charlene Gregory Sobi, Russell Springs, KY, and the following:
  • One son: Chris Johnson, Russell Springs, KY

  • One sister: Agnes Olsen, Johnson City, IL
Bernard Funeral Home, 367 Main ST, Russell Springs, KY, in charge of arrangements.
