Adair Co. Little League welcomes help for new Joe Johnson sign

Putting The Adair Co. Way in high gear for good cause: Funding was problem getting nice entrance sign for Columbia/Adair County's jewel of a baseball facility, Joe Johnson Little League Park ; now, with the very welcome initiative of Mr. Richard Phelps, that problem should be solved in short order. CM

By Nancy Taylor, secretary, Adair Co. Little League Baseball, Inc.

Several months prior to the situation that led to this discussion, Barney Taylor had already undertaken the idea of a new sign for the park. He took it upon himself to obtain sketches, drafts and quotes for a sign to be erected at the Doc Walker Road entrance of the park.

The Board reviewed the proposals, and all members present at that particular meeting were in agreement for a new sign. However, the issue was tabled due to funding and possible resubmission of quotes and other sketches.

We will gladly accept any and all monetary and/or labor donations toward the construction and erection of a new sign.
