She was a member of a respected family with abiding roots in Russell and Adair Counties of Kentucky. She will be returned to her native Adair County for her final resting place. She was a member of the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church and a homemaker.

Janette Andrew, 68, KY 1545, Russell Springs, KY, died Sunday, June 5, 2011, at the Fair Oaks Nursing Home.

The funeral will be Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at 10amCT, at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 Main ST, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Bodie Emerson the officiating clergy. Burial will be in the Burchett Cemetery, 67 Burchett Cemetery RD, Columbia, KY. Special music will be rendered by the Mt. Pleasant Quartet. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at the funeral home.

Janette Andrew, Russell Co., KY (1942-2011)

Janette Andrew, was born Sunday September 13, 1942, in Adair Co., KY. She was the daughter of the late Dorothy Morgan Cape and the late Chester Cape. She died Sunday, June 5, 2011, in Jamestown, Russell Co., KY, at the age of 68 years, 8 months, and 23 days.

She was a member of the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church and a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Robert Lindauer, and a sister, Geneva Bernard.

She is survived by her husband, Richie Andrew, Russell Springs, KY, and the following:
  • Three children: Dwane Andrew, Crestwood, KY; Sharon (James) Johnson, Jamestown, KY; and Renee Halstead, Ellettsville, IN.

  • Five grandchildren

  • Six great grandchildren
The Bernard Funeral Home, 367 Main ST, Russell Springs, KY, in charge of funeral arrangements.
