Ruth Overstreet, Taylor Co., KY (1929-2011)

She was a member of a large, respected North Adair Co., KY family and of the Robinson Ridge Separate Baptist Church.

Ruth Overstreet age 82 years of Campbellsville, KY passed away Thursday, May 19, 2011 at 6:30amCT, at her home in Campbellsville after several months illness.

The funeral service will be Sunday, May 22, 2011 at 1:30pmCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY with Rev. Raymond Atwood the officiating clergy. Interment will be in the Robinson Chapel Cemetery at Knifley, KY/ The family request visitation after 3pmCT, on Saturday, May 21, 2011, at the funeral home.

She was born Sunday, February 17, 1929 in Casey Co. KY. She was the daughter of the late: Marion Ethley and Lora Ann Jones Overstreet. She died Thursday, May 19, 2011 in Campbellsville, Taylor Co., KY at the age of 82 years, 3 months, and 2 days.Survived by the following:
  • One son: Willie Overstreet of Horse Cave, KY

  • One brother: James Earley Overstreet of Louisville, KY

  • One grandchild: Stephanie Diane Shuck of Columbia, KY

  • Six great grandchildren: Courtney Michelle Shuck, Megan Danielle Church, Daniel Shuck, Brandon Richard Shuck, Cheyanne Maria Shuck, Keveon Lawrence Beach

  • A special niece: Tracy Bray and husband Joe of Campbellsville, KY

  • One special great niece and nephew: Katelyn Bray and Joseph Bray

  • And a host of other nieces and nephews and friends
Ruth was a member of Robinson Chapel Separate Baptist Church and a homemaker.

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY in charge of arrangements.
