Mrs. Patricia K. Hofem Keen Joyce, age 76 of Bowling Green, Ky., formerly of Cumberland Co., KY, passed away on Wednesday May 11, 2011 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY.

Funeral Services were held on Saturday May 14, 2011 at 11amCT,. in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N. Main ST, Burkesville, KY, with burial in the Stockton Cemetery in the Wash's Bottom Community of Cumberland Co., KY.



Mrs. Patricia K. Hofem Keen Joyce, Cumberland Co., Ky (1934-2011)

She was born in Milwaukee, Milwaukee Co., WI, on Tuesday, June 26, 1934 the daughter of George W. Hofem and Lona Kelly Hofem. She passed away on Wednesday May 11, 2011 in Bowling Green, Warren Co., KY, at the age of 76 years, 10 months, and 15 days.

She was an Insurance Representative for Anthem Blue Cross Co., and a member of Whites Chapel United Methodist Church.

She came here in 1948 from Hollywood, CA.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, James Keen and Carlie Joyce, her brother, Robert K. Hofem, her sister, Eleanor "Dolly" Pestino, and her son-in-law, Doug Teasley.

She is survived by the following:
  • Her children: Samuel G. (and Deborah) Keen of Columbia, TN; Linda M. (and Joe) Brown of Burkesville, KY , Jamie K. Teasley of Nashville, TN; Barbara (and Jim) Murley of Burkesville, KY

  • Her step-son: Frank (and Joyce Ann) Joyce of Springfield, TN

  • Her grandchildren: Leigh Keen Kestranek, Samuel Andrew Keen, Melissa Brown Holland, James Christopher Murley, Courtney Elizabeth Brown, Rachel Murley McDaris, Ian Douglas Teasley

  • Her great-grandchildren: Seth, Sammy, and Anne-Kelly

  • Her step-grandchildren: Angela, Jeannie, Brian and families
