The dope war: another salvo "Jim" writes While plundering about in the Adair County News tonight, I came across this reference to yet another semi-local bottled drink in this ad in the April 7, 1909 edition:Drink Dope Cola and Grape, "Originators not imitators." Try a bottle and be convinced. Bottled by Ottley & Hobson, Campbellsville, Ky.Mr. William Tanner (W.T.) Ottley, mentioned in an earlier CM entry, seemed to go into a downward spiral--from cola bottler to lawyer to (failed) politician to newspaper editor.
