All donations in this drive will be delivered to the First Baptist Church in Cullman, AL, for distribution By Alan Reed News from the Adair County School District Schools and community asked to join-in. Devastating storms and tornadoes recently raked though the U.S. South ripping houses to rubble, flipping cars, and leaving those lucky enough to survive without many basic essentials. The hardest hit state was Alabama. In an effort to help suffering families in the southland, Mr. Robbie Harmon and his Adair County Elementary School Fish Club are spearheading a three-day local relief effort to help a small town south of Huntsville. Other schools have joined the local drive and Harmon is also asking the community for help. Harmon says a major need exists for basic sanitation items such as shampoo, toothpaste, bars of soap, and toilet tissue. He also notes the need for baby food, baby bottles, baby blankets, and pacifiers. Donations can be dropped off at Adair County Elementary School through 3pmCT this Thursday, May 5, 2011. Clean, folded clothing for adults and children will also be accepted, along with non-perishable food items. Harmon emphasized that monetary donations are welcome and that all donations will we taken directly to the First Baptist Church in Cullman, Alabama for distribution.
