SAR units in Casey, Green, Metcalfe and Taylor receive grants

News from Kentucky Emergency Management

FRANKFORT, KY. (April 22, 2011)-As part of the Kentucky Division of EmergencyManagement's (KYEM) commitment to assist local Search and Rescue (SAR) teams,

SAR grants have been awarded to 20 SAR teams across Kentucky, including four units in the 7-County Columbia, KY area:
  • Campbellsville-Taylor County Rescue Squad, Allan Bottoms, Chief Officer, 105 S. Columbia AV, Campbellsville, KY - $7,401.50
  • Green County EM/Rescue Squad, Mike Matney, Chief Officer, 203 W. Court ST, Greensburg, KY - $7,500
  • Liberty-Casey County Rescue Squad, Joseph Foster, Chief Officer, 53 Jocky ST, Liberty, KY, - $9,640.00
  • North Metcalfe Rescue Squad, Inc., Lanny Bastin, Chief Officer, 498 Center-Peggyville RD, Center, KY - $9,081.36
KYEM continues to provide training and materials to SAR team members. Thededication and willingness to go beyond the call of duty of team members inKentucky ensures that the safety and wellbeing of others is their personalpriority.
