Althia Irene Copas Horning, 76, of Breeding, KY, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2011, at T. J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY.

Funeral services will be Thursday, April 21, 2011, at 4pmCT, at White Hill Community Church, in Cumberland Co., KY, with burial in the White Hill Cemetery.Visitation will be after 12 noon on Thursday, April 21, 2011, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home. 304 N. Main ST, in Burkesville, KY.



Althia Irene Copas Horning, Breeding, KY (1934-2011)

Althia was born in Metcalfe County, Kentucky on June 9, 1934. She was the daughter of the late Mary Jane Brown Copas, and the late William Harrison Copas. She died Tuesday, April 19, 2011, in Glasgow, Barren Co., KY, at the age of 76 years, 10 months, and 10 days.

She was preceded in death by her 2 Brothers, Clifton Copas; Johnny Copas; 3 Sisters, Edna Copas; Matry Wray; Pearlie Melton.

Survivors Include the following:
  • Husband: Dennis Horning, Breeding, KY

  • Two daughters: Barbara Melton of Glasgow, KY; and Shelvy McCoy and and husband Dewayne of Summer Shade, KY

  • Sister: Gaye Wagers of London, KY

  • Two granddaughters: Ashley Logsdon and Machelle Canales

  • Three grandsons: Chucky Green, Davy Green,and Marty McCoy

  • One special nephew: Timmy Wray

  • And a host of other nieces, nephews, and friends
