She was the matriarch of a large respected South Central Kentucky family. She leaves 19 direct living descendants

Karen L. Krapf, 64, of Edmonton, KY, died Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at 9:52pmCT, at Westlake Regional Hospital Emergency Room, in Columbia, KY.

She was born Saturday, June 29, 1946, in Everett, Snohomish Co., WA. She was the daughter of the late Presley Eugene and Emma Jean Palmer Holmes. She died Wednesday, April 13, 2011, in Columbia, Adair Co., KY, at the age of 64 years, 9 months, and 15 days.



Survivors include the following:
  • One daughter: Carlene Kurtz of New Braunfels, TX

  • Two sons: Guy Eugene Warren of Edmonton, KY; and James Edward Krapf II, of Newport, NC

  • Two brothers: Kurt Holmes of New York, Lyle Holmes of California

  • Eleven grandchildren

  • Five great-grandchildren
The family has chosen cremation and a private service will be held for the family.
