The Venerable COF contributes to GWS Lexicon

Elemental Knifleyese, twernt and pon nominated for epic tome
Comments re article 43715 Countian shocked by how Adair County living ages one

By the learned Mr. COF
PhD of UK/K - University of proper speakin, Knifley, KY

Always eager to contribute to the ejucation of those eager to learn to speak properly.

Take for example:
  • Twernt: now this is the Past Tense of "taint" as in Hit taint no good as apposed to Hit twernt no good. You kin plainly see thet one is the here an now en t'other wuz awhile back.

  • Pon:Then there's "pon" tho this seems to be more favored by the distaff side. I've ofen heard Pon my soul, I nevah heerd of sich.
My hope is thet those from far off will 'ciprocate in kind an endeavor to splain some of the hi-faluting lingo they seem to favor or jest mebbe they don't even understand themownselves.
