COLUMBIA, KY - A class of Lindsey Wilson College education students helped children create their own literature on Thursday night at Colonel William Casey Elementary School.

The 18 LWC students partnered with the Title I Parent Involvement, Family Resource Center and Camp Casey to help Colonel William Casey students create handmade books. More than 60 children participated in the event, according to Title I Teacher and Liaison for Parental Involvement Dana Harvey.

LWC education students work with Casey on three or four similar projects a year, Harvey said.

The 18 LWC students who assisted with Thursday nights book project are enrolled in Associate Professor of Education Melissa Saunier-Arnolds Childrens Literature class.
