Maulene Fancher, 76, Knob Lick, KY

She was a member of a respected Metcalfe Co., KY, family, a retired seamstress, and was of the Baptist faith

Maulene Fancher age 76, of Knob Lick died March 21, 2011 at the Barren County Health Care in Glasgow, KY.

Funeral service will be 2pmCT, Thursday, March 24, 2011, at the Butler Funeral Home, 201 East ST, Edmonton with burial in the Walker Cemetery in Knob Lick. Visitation will be Thursday from 10amCT until service at the funeral home.



She was born in Bloomington, IN., the daughter of the late Hedley Ewing (Jack) and Ellis Hubbard Kelly. Her husband of fifty-one years was the late Edward (Billy) Fancher.

Mrs. Fancher was a retired seamstress and was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by the following:
  • Two daughters: Betty Parker and husband Rex, of Crawfordsville, IN; and Rhonda Simpson and husband Jonathan of Hiseville, KY

  • One son: Elton Fancher and wife Vicki of Savoyard, KY
  • Seven grandchildren: Kristina Dockins and husband Travis of Crawfordsville, IN; Kelly Logsdon of Mildenhall, England; Gary Powell of College Station, TX; Melissa Parocai and husband Alex of Park, KY; Desiree Lester of Cave City, KY; Ryan Simpson and Jarrett Simpson of Hiseville, KY

  • Five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two sisters, Kathleen Edwards and Ruth Roppel; a half-brother, J.C. Kelly; and a son Alton Bill Fancher.

Butler Funeral Home, 201 East ST, Edmonton, KY, in charge of arrangements.
